Good drive, good price. I use two of them. Can be removed from case and used internally in laptop (if height fits). Can kinda force one into my Thinkpad T420.
Reported to have seagate ST4000DM000 5900 rpm drive inside. Backblaze still uses them and has acceptable failure rates. (3%) Half of their drives (35,000) are these and have been going 24/7 for years . For seagate there is no special proprietary connector on drive like WD either and the ST4000DM000 isn't SMR which is awful for a drive. I avoid SMR drives like the plague. Most newer seagate 4tb and up are SMR. Even though the design is 3-4 years older this is one of seagates better drives. $20 or less per TB is the magic price. I aim for $17per tb but will do $20 per TB for a quality drive.
