I like these containers but have had some cracked lids. Not cheap to replace the lids so I can't recommend. We don't microwave them and they've been handled gently, they're 3-4 years old.
I've had my Pyrex storage sets for 17 years. I freeze casseroles regularly in them and I have not had any cracks. Lost lids always pose a problem for me, no matter what brand, but I have always loved Pyrex.
Do you have to buy the Pyrex and the Corningware yo get the rebate?
Based on the rebate form, you have to buy both sets. That's probably a deal breaker for many.

Crack plastic lid is due to cooling and heating in the microwave oven. I usually take the lid off and place a piece paper napkin to cover the bowl before heating to save the lid. This is a great deal with rebate. I paid $25 dollar last time at Macy's. But bowls are smaller than I initially anticipated (lunch serving size).
I prefer glass containers as well. Replacement lids will run about $1.50 each if you're not too picky about color and are willing to buy them in packs of 6.
