The metal frame of this MIGHT be able to handle 800 lb. per shelf...but the cheap particle board shelves will NOT. We had some similar shelves, at the last place I worked, and ended up cutting plywood, to go under the particle board, and beef it up.

Thanks for the heads up. I ordered two, plan to get another pair. I think they are good for the garage. I think I can modify them a little to build a workbench.
