That is not a bad deal. It's worth it if you have large amounts of data that you need to access fairly quickly. The dock allows you to swap out HDDs without the hassle of putting them in a portable enclosure. This is a good solution if you are working with large amounts of multimedia as well.

This is a great price for a dock. For the reviews that complain about it not being able to last a year, well $10 isn't a big risk. It may not stand up to abuse if used regularly...

I have one of these, it's half way decent. I wouldn't use it as a "daily driver", but in a pinch it gets the job done.

I have the one bay version and it doesn't recognize some drives (like WD Green 2TB) for some reason. Good price for the dual bay though.
