This isn't so great. Office Despot had the MK340 for an unadvertised $10 a while back. The difference is the MK340 set is unifying; this MK270 is not. Unifying means that when either the keyboard or mouse craps, you can continue using the working part with another unifying piece. Or, you can change one or the other if you don't like it (the mice with these combo sets are notoriously crappy).
The only other thing where someone might prefer the 270 is the keyboard is 'slightly' slimmer than the 340 (the 270 keyboard is flat across the top whereas the 340 has a raised ridge). But that's not really enough to warrant getting it instead of the 340.
