This items is kind of a scam. There is a small plastic piece that wraps around the back that is prone to fall off and make the thing unusable. I know 4 people with this fitbit and all have failed similarly. Fitbit has stopped replacing them for free, and will now make you pay to upgrade to the 2nd version

These fall apart. Bought one for my wife and it fell apart like jag states in about 10 months. Got a refurbed one as a replacement that did the same thing in 4 months.
