I wanted this until I started reading the Duromax reviews of this and other models all over the web. It seems it either arrives fully working and terrific, or damaged, with broken and/or missing parts which are out of stock for 'months'. If you're unhappy with it, you get to pay to ship it back (it weighs almost 200 lbs.) and are charged a 20% restocking fee. Disappointing.
i bought this exact model.i used it during power outage(hurricane) and had no problems.its heavy ,must be assembled.i use only propane tanks from my grill and have had no problems.
I purchased two of these a few years ago. I have a vacation property with an off the grid cabin and currently use these to charge up batteries and to run bigger tools etc.... Both arrived in ok shape although one had a broken air filter assembly. I honestly abuse the **** out of them and they hold up remarkably well. Before I got solar/battery bank I would run them 24/7. The longest I ever used them pretty much non stop except fuel and oil is 2 weeks. I don't track the hours exactly and they don't have hour meters but I roughly have over 3000 hours on each. They don't burn oil and the gas economy is reasonable. The electric start batteries went bad after about a year and I did not replace them. I just use pull start and they start pretty easily. I do shut off fuel and let them run dry before storing them. I had to clean the carb on one of them. Also they don't quite put out the wattage they are rated at.
Also I use them with gasoline. They are a bit loud so I dug a pit and run them when they are in the pit. I use the cheapest oil and regular gas. I change the oil about every 72 hours which I believe is longer then recommended
