I suggest the 5.0 amp batteries over the smaller 2.0 that most drills use. The saw really scores great with that extra power

I have the 18v DeWalt and never had an issue. My craftsman miter saw fell apart after 3 uses. Stick with DeWalt and Milwaukee.
