I have a very similar set of DeWalt 18v tools bought in 2004. They were Nicads and did not know how long would last. Was pleasantly surprised that they lasted 10 years. Bought 3rd part replacement cells and am so disappointed.

These are good tools and will last a long time with care. The fact that they use an old battery technology is a con ... but for the price, what can you expect?

With 2 batteries this is a good deal. You can find the tools cheap on
eBay
, but usually with no battery and part of some kit broken up.

We had one of these and it's great until you need a new battery. Then it's cheaper to buy a new one.
