It's truly sad to see Sears circling the drain as they are. We had no less than four within driving distance of our house (Seattle suburb). Of those, one closed roughly a year ago and two have announced their planned closures within the last 6 months. I for one will miss them if/when the company as a whole shudders its doors.
I have truly enjoyed the use of my C3 drill/driver, over the years. First purchased with NiCad batteries, then upgraded to lithium ion batteries, about 5 years ago.
Unfortunately, Sears doesn't offer nearly the number of C3 cordless tools any more. And I wonder who will handle warranty issues on them, after Sears finally makes the plunge down the drain pipe?

I actually wouldn't be surprised if Lowes or Home Depot honor the Craftsman warranty for Husky or Kobalt tools as a goodwill thing to gain customers.
^ According to both Sears and Stanley, items with the Craftsman lifetime warranty will be honored at any place that sells those Craftsman tools. Granted they only have something like a year warranty on cordless power tools.
