These are good if your vehicle isn't especially large and heavy. The lift height is about 1" higher than the typical 3 ton jack stands which doesn't seem like much but when your face is mere inches from the underbody of a vehicle, every extra inch counts.
Plus if you go with 6 ton stands you need an extra high lift jack or to shim something on the jack saddle to raise it higher as 6 ton stands' minimum height usually starts at around 15" and goes past 20".
Another thing nice about these is the leg reinforcement is a flat plate on the bottom so they won't sink as much into semi-soft surfaces, spread out the load better if you need them on wood on a soft surface, and will be lower risk of damaging a garage floor coating.
Plus, $20 in points means they're practically giving them away. Looks like inventory liquidation trying to keep Sears afloat just a little longer.
