I'm thinking about getting an ipad. I have an old school 2 and I like the screen size. Will this 12.9" be too uncomfortable to hold for long periods of time? Also, is the new 2017 Pro model (which is about $1k) leaps and bounds better than this 2015 model?
I have both Apple iPad 2 and iPad Pro. they are both pretty heavy and I wouldn't say it's comfortable to hold them for a long period of time. If you want something light-weighted, I would recommend iPad Air 2 or iPad Mini 4. They are all disconnected though.
I just picked up a 12.9 iPad Pro (newest gen) from the Best Buy deal a week and a half ago. Not sure I'm in love. I've had at least six 9.7's and this one seems so unwieldy, especially in a case. I think you can find a better deal than this to come.
Oh ok good to know, thanks! My other option is just getting a "regular" non-pro one. I don't know if I *need* a pro, but wondering if I can justify the extra cost, even if on sale. A typical normal ipad (not mini) goes on sale for about $279 regularly.
