Home Wi-Fi mesh networks have really exploded this year. This is a pretty good price for a 3-unit system. I have no knowledge on this brand but it has 4-stars after over 1500 eviews on
If you have an average size house (3-4 bedrooms, 1-2 floors), just want full coverage everywhere indoors, and if you don't want to bother running Cat5e/6 cables and using a PoE switch or injectors, then this is a good solution, especially at $180. (I pre-ordered this @ $250.)
You won't have the traditional control that you would have with a typical consumer wireless router or even an enterprise WiFi solution (i.e. UniFi from Ubiquiti Networks), so this may not be for the techie types. However, if you just want simplicity and no constant complaints from your spouse or kids, then you'll have some control via the app (iOS, Android). Each Luma device has two (2) ethernet ports which you can use for bridging a wired-only device (i.e. switch, printer, game console, DVR, etc.).
I have this. Bought for about this price on 4 months ago. Using in a 2100 sq/ft home. One centrally located first and second floors, one at both extreme ends of the basement, Cat6 run between all units for wired backhaul. Coverage was excellent indoors, but purchased a fourth individual device to get better coverage in my yard as my phone would connect and disconnect as I moved around mowing the lawn causing Pandora to keep pausing and buffering. Super simple setup, but as oc pointed out, no options for customization. I would highly recommend at this price.
